Founder and current Chairman of Glover Construction, J.M. Glover, has more than 70 years of grading and construction experience. After serving as a military police officer in the United States Army, he returned to his roots in Northampton County, N.C. In 1975, J.M. incorporated his company in North Carolina. Since then, it’s grown to do business in several states across the Southeast.
J.M. served as the company’s President through 2022, and transitioned into the role of Chairman of the Board in January 2023. He was succeeded as President by his son, Matt, who has worked alongside him since 1980. Now in his 90s, J.M. still is actively involved in every aspect of the business, from equipment purchasing to the bidding process and senior staff management. Each day, he is on the ground either at the office or a job site ensuring that his team is upholding his high standards of quality, efficiency and ethical operation.
