SITUATION

Create the roads and utility development for a new 600-acre residential community in Youngsville, N.C.

With a private, 75-acre, spring-fed lake as its centerpiece and an Audubon International Triple Diamond Gold Signature Program certified land plan, Glover Construction had to work to meet the strict guidelines while protecting forests and wildlife habitats, and conserve energy and water resources.

SOLUTION

Known for its City-Country Living, Hidden Lake was developed as a luxury home community in eastern Wake County.

The subdivision now has 227 acres of green space, including a 75-acre lake stocked with fish, a 100-acre nature preserve, and four miles of nature trails.

OUTCOME

  • Homes now sell for between $600,000 and $1.5 million
  • 56 home lots range in size from 1 acre to 6 acres
  • Glover earned a Duke Energy Contractor Safety Award.
